Advances in cybersex

It may not be much to look at, but there's a new device that brings true cybersex one step closer to reality. Unveiled at the Designing Interactive Systems conference in Newcastle, UK last month, the remote kissing gadget is dubbed the Kissenger.

Kissenger lets users kiss each other over the Internet. It consists of a  pair of pressure-sensitive soft plastic lips on a featureless white "head." Kiss the lips and the shape changes you create are transmitted exactly in real time over the net to your partner who has his lips on a receiving Kissenger.

"People have found it a very positive way to improve intimacy in communications with their partners when they are apart," claims Hooman Samani of Singapore-based Lovotics, which developed the device.

Which makes you wonder, are we any closer to webcam sex accompanied by a full sensory experience, beyond the usual  sight and sound? 

A more sexually charged haptic device, The RealTouch by AEBN, has been on the market since 2009, but it is pre-programmed to provide a sensory experience to specific porn videos, not a person in real time. Like a souped-up FleshLight, the RealTouch encases your dick, stroking, squeezing, warming and lubricating it, while mimicking the movements that are onscreen - so it actually feels like you are getting a blowjob or pounding a butt. 

About 10,000 RealTouch's have been sold to date at over $300 a pop. You pay extra to actually watch the RealTouch encoded videos, of course, but the real disappointment is that there are only about 350 gay scenes to choose from. 

What's next? AEBN has just introduced RealTouch Interactive, which is still in its beta testing stage. It works just like a regular (paid) webcam service, with a twist. You use your RealTouch and the model on the other end uses a dildo that is connected via the net to your device. He blows the dildo, you feel his lips around your cock. He sticks the dildo up his butt, you feel your dick enter.



So far there are only three male models in RealTouch Interactive (at the bottom of the page) but we're sure that will grow over time. If you're into free webcam sex, you'll just have to be satisfied with seeing and hearing each other - for now, anyways.
