FlavaMen Blatino Award winners announced

Last weekend, the FlavaMen Blatino Awards were announced, celebrating the best of black and Latin porn. FlavaMen Magazine announced its inaugural slate of Blatino Awards nominees back in July, recognizing ethnic clubs and promoters, adult stars and studios, films and websites by and for men of color. The voting took place online over the summer, open to the public, and the winners were announced at a special ceremony in Atlanta.

Toccara, a former contestant on America's Next Top Model, said, “This is the one of the best events I have been to, and the vibe in this room is hot.” She then added that “I didn’t know what a Top was until tonight!” See, you can learn something new every day!

The best line of the night had to go to Mr. Saukei, winner of 'Best Bottom.'“I fucked my way to the top to become the best bottom," he said.  Oh, you!

There was some controversy surrounding the show. Back in July, Pitbull Studios demanded that they be removed from the list of nomiees, taking issue with the bareback nature of some of the competition.

Then just last week, Joe Hawkins - the creator of the Blatino Erotica Awards - complained Flava Works' show was too much like his own.

“As a man of color, the very reason behind my creating the Blatino Erotica Awards three years ago was to ensure that more of these men be recognized for their contributions,” he said. “I only wish Flava Works would have been more creative with the naming of their event and show me and my organization some professional respect.”

Warren Bullock pulled out the claws, countering that award shows “have been around for thousands of years. To think we got the idea from Joe Hawkins are simply delusions of grandeur and to get press for himself and his circuit party.”

We think the more naked black men we get to see and celebrate, the better!
