News of the naked

Glasgow, Scotland:  A man who tried to conduct a job interview naked has been sentenced to three years' probation and placed on the sex offenders' register.

Saeed Akbar, 35, a manager at an interpreting and translation company was interviewing a prospective female employee when he  left the interview room and then returned buck naked except for his clipboard.

When the job candidate refused to strip as well, he put his clothes on and attempted to continue the interview as normal. However, the flummoxed victim fled and reported the matter to police.

Lands End, UK: Stephen Gough, 46, was arrested 14 times and served two jail sentences when he hiked naked (except for boots and a hat)  from one end of England to the other in 2003-04.

Today the former Royal Marine, known as the Naked Rambler, planned to again set off  from Britain�s most south-westerly point on an 874-mile nude journey.  This time he will be accompanied by his girlfriend Melanie Roberts, 33, of Bournemouth, and a librarian from Kent, who wishes to remain nameless.

Down Under:  The Russian National Ballet will perform "Romeo and Juliet" - with nude scenes - for the first time in its World's Greatest Ballets program set to debut in Australia next month.  The performance, in which the star-crossed lovers appear nude in bedroom scenes, has sparked complaints from women's and religious groups across the nation, who apparently don't believe Romeo and Juliet ever fucked.
