Lance Bass, a former boybander from NSYNC, thinks that he hasn't had a successful solo career because of his sexuality.
Back in 2014, he released the single "Walking on Air" with Snoop Dogg. It failed to chart in the US.
“It went No. 1 everywhere… except America,” he said. “The radio stations wouldn’t play my songs… I don’t know if it’s because I’m gay or if it’s because I’m from NSYNC, but the politics around it is so crazy and I don’t care to deal with that [bleep].”
“I’m not 18 anymore, so I do [music] for fun," he added. "I go where I’m needed and wanted — and right now, that’s television.”
Of course, one single in eight years does not really seem like much of an investment in a career. And maybe, just maybe, his music isn't all that good.
