Gay singer Steve Grand pushes album release to January 2015

Steve GrandSteve Grand is asking fans to be patient as he continues to work on his debut album.

Grand hit it big in 2013 with his YouTube video hit "All-American Boy." He then started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a debut album, and was able to raise an impressive $326,593. He hoped to have the album out by the end of this summer.

"I was very ambitious in wanting to get this record out," Grand said in a video to his fans. "It just wasn't realistic though to think I could pump out a great record in just a few short months."

Part of the issue has been scheduling, with different songwriters and producers being asked to take part in this project. He also didn't think it was a good idea to rush the final product.

"I really want it to be something that's really meaningful in your lives for many years to come," he said.

He promised that before January he would release a "maxi single" of his latest song and a couple singles from the album.

His song "All-American Boy" will be on the album. It has been viewed more than 3 million times on YouTube. Its follow-up, "Stay," has more than 1 million views.

If he really wants to make it up to us, he could just post several new pics of himself in and out of underwear.
