Cathal McCarron, a footballer from Ireland, is having second thoughts - to say the least - about his recent appearance on gay porn site The Casting Room.

 

Appearing as 'Fergus,' he was advertised on the site as a “big strapping footballer [who] grew up in a rural area where sexual adventures were limited. Now that he’s living in the big city he wants to try it all!” In one scene, he is simply 'auditioning' for a role in porn and jerks himself off. In a second scene, he tops and bottoms with another guy.

 

The pseudonym fooled no one, and soon British soccer fans were commenting online about his adult work. Sadly, much of it was nasty and homophobic.

 

At the request of McCarron, the owner of The Casting Room removed the two videos from the site and also asked BananaGuide to remove the gallery of 'Fergus' we posted a few days ago (which we did). 

 

McCarron supporters have said that the 25-year-old single dad is in a bad place mentally. He has already admitted to a serious gambling addiction.

 

“I am devastated for him,” a fellow player said. “He’s such a sound lad and he dealt with a lot of issues in the past and we were all thinking London was his fresh start. But now we’re just all wondering what could have pushed him to this.”

Perhaps a desperate need for money to fund his gambling habit?
