Porn giant considers expanding bitcoin acceptance

MindGeek - the company responsible for several popular adult sites, including men.com - announced yesterday that it is considering allowing users to pay for site memberships using bitcoin as payment.

It is currently experimenting with the new, online currency on one of its straight porn sites, IKnowThatGirl.com, charging the bitcoin equivalent of $39.95 a month or $119.95 a year. If successful, MindGeek will expand the bitcoin option to its other sites.

“We’re proud to pioneer the way for bitcoin’s inclusion into the adult entertainment industry,”  product director Andy B said. “We’ve always been at the forefront of technology, and our users can continue to count on that.”

DominicFord.com announced earlier this year that it would also be accepting bitcoin payments from members.
