George Michael doesn't change his tune

George Michael's best work was probably when he first hit the music scene in the early eighties, pairing up with Andrew Ridgely to create the boppy and fabulous Wham. As a soloist he has shown a predilection for whiny piano ballads. The upcoming Symphonica  is his first album of new material in a decade. So maybe he's decided to change it up? No such luck: 'Let Her Down Easy' is the album's first single release and sounds a lot like his usual sappy melancholia. Maybe he needs to team up in a duo again to get himself out of the doldrums.
