Ross 'the Intern' Mathews gets his own show

Ross MatthewsRoss Mathews will be joining the likes of Joan Rivers, Giuliana Rancic, and Kelly Osbourne on E!. His new show, Hello Ross, will air Friday nights at 10 pm, and premieres September 6.

"Whether you are watching at home or sitting front row in the studio audience, Hello Ross will give everyone a unique viewpoint into the latest Hollywood news with the ability to share their opinion via Facebook and Twitter on all the latest in pop culture, debate the most buzzworthy topics, and come face to face with their favorite celebrities. This highly interactive series will allow viewers to join in on the conversation via social platforms and talk directly with Ross, directly influencing the tone and direction of the show."

Mathews began as an intern behind the scenes on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, but eventually found his way on camera. From December 2001, he covered movie premieres, the Academy Awards, two different Winter Olympics Games and other events for the late night show.

He is now a regular guest on Chelsea Lately, at times taking over hosting duties, and has released his first book (the autobiographical Man Up).
