Short film explores funny side of Fire Island

Half-Share

Half-Share, created by Jesse Archer, Sean Hanley and Michael Lyon, is about a group of gay friends landing on Fire Island for a fun- and drama-filled summer.

It focuses on the emotionally-damaged and somewhat naive Mac (Kevin Spidle) who is fresh out of a 14 year relationship. But what he hopes will be a relaxing vacation quickly turns into pure craziness when his odd assortment of friends try to help him experience life on Fire Island.

Half-Share is full of interesting characters, brought to life by the likes of Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty), Sam Pancake (Legally Blonde 2), Kevyn Morrow (Broadway’s Five Guys Named Moe) and Joey Dudding (Big Gay Musical).

Currently the half-hour film is available online, with a free screening on November 20th at www.half-share.com and Ustream.tv/channel/half-share. You can also rent it at Amazon Instant Video for $1.99 or buy it for $4.99 at www.amzn.to/HalfShare (and until December 31st, 50% of all net profits on DVD and Amazon Instant Video sales will be donated to the Ali Forney Center in NYC which provides homeless LGBT youth with shelter, food, and counseling).

The film is also being used as a pilot for a possible TV show. It's like Will and Grace, but with very little Will or Grace, and a whole lot of Jack.
