YouTube censors gay kiss

When this clip first appeared on YouTube, it was quickly deemed inappropriate for general audiences. It was filtered so that only age verified adults could view it.

The video is from popular soap Days of Our Lives. It shows the two gay characters, Will and Sonny, making out.

Most times this kind of censorship is initiated by the viewers, themselves. If enough people flag an item, it will be filtered automatically. And at one point the decision was reversed, as the flag was removed. Sadly, as a BananaGuide reader pointed out, it is back in place.

The scene, itself, will air on television on November 14. And expect it to be hotter, as the two will actually be making love.

"The Will and Sonny fans have waited a long time for this but the delay has been a good thing," said Freddie Smith, who plays Sonny. "It's allowed the audience to get to know our characters and to get to a place where they are really rooting for them to get together. I don't expect anyone will think the sex scene is controversial. Hopefully, we're past that. This isn't a story about two gay guys. It's about two human beings who truly love each other."

Oh, Freddie, if only people were so reasonable.
