September 18, 2012 | Porn Stars
It seems that the term 'porn star' is thrown around rather liberally these days, but there are some men who truly deserve the label. Dominic Pacifico, who has been showing off in front of the camera for almost 15 years now, is one of them.
He has worked for many of the major studios, from Falcon to Raging Stallion to Kink.com. He has started his own site,
DominicPacifico.com. And he travels around the world to meet adoring fans.
BananaGuide: How long have you been doing porn?
Dominic Pacifico: I've been in the Adult industry since I was 18, back in 1998. For years I went under a different name. I'm now looking to purchase archived footage to re-release on my new website,
dominicpacifico.com, so people can see me then and now. For both the old and new school fans.
How did you get into the industry?
I was scouted by Brian Mills of Titan Media, back when he was a photographer for boyboy.com. I posed for a few magazines to start then did solo work, and then eventually, full on action. I guess I just stuck with it over the years, and by 2004 I became Dominic Pacifico and landed an exclusive spot with Raging Stallion.
So you've obviously done many, many scenes ... which one do you consider your best?
If you asked me tomorrow, It would probably be a different answer, but today I would have to say
Asylum (
Falcon Studios). The production in this film was spot on, the set was amazing and my scene came out smoking hot. I played a sex crazed psycho in an insane asylum. The only way the doctor could calm me down was fucking me deep and hard, ultimately giving me what I needed. I had just finished a 3 month work out program, so my body was rock hard with an 8 pack stomach .. yes 8 pack. It was very hard to do, but the results were INSANE.
Is there anyone you would want to work with again?
I would love to work with Paddy O' Brian again. He's an amazing performer, with a stunning body and an overwhelming persona. I can't say I always enjoy my job, but sometimes the directors put a perfect fantasy together. Normally I don't even like working with straight pornstar's, but he was awesome!
What's the best thing about being a porn star?
Sexual liberation has to be the best thing about being a pornstar. I feel like I can talk about sex freely, express myself and not have to feel ashamed or embarrassed. Physically, I wear what I want, or nothing at all, without a care in the world. To me that's more exciting that the "Fame." I don't assume that people know who I am because I do porn. I'm flattered when they do.
And what's the hardest thing about doing porn (and we don't mean your penis!)?
It's hard to keep up with physical appearance. You need to always look the same from hair, beard, arms, stomach, tan, white teeth, and the list goes on. Five extra pounds in the wrong place can cost you, even if a studio films you and you're a little doughie, well when the pictures come out, the other studios assume you're not toned; you don't get booked for a while.
If you get a radical hair cut it could make or break you for a season. So, you have to constantly keep up your appearance. Funny as the season changes, the look the studio is going for changes, so you have to try and follow the trends as well. Dark summer tan, smooth chest, or grow out all your body hair, because the dirctor now wants everything natural. Its HARD, and I don't mean PENIS!
There's been a lot of discussion about straight men in gay porn. What are your feelings about gay-for-pay actors?
Well, in my opinion, if you are sucking a cock, you are "GAY." My brother is straight, and all the money in the world wouldn't make him do gay porn. I think if a straight guy sells himself behind closed doors, then maybe, because it shows that he's ashamed of what he does. If you're doing it and your mother can potentially google you, well you're looking to be seen ... you're not straight. A real straight man would be shamed to have gay sex period. Let's reverse it, and say straight-for-pay. name all the straight-for-pay gay men out there in the straight porn world. If you can name more that one, I'll reconsider my opinion.
And your views on barebacking?
Bareback is a touchy subject for me. I assume that everyone doing bareback porn has HIV or AIDS, so it's not sexy to me at all; it's sad and strange. I don't think that it's a bad thing, I just have a behind the scenes view of it. On the other hand, I feel that the studios that won't work with a pornstar if they've done bareback porn is BS, because you can go online and see the ones that haven't done bareback porn on RentBoy.com advertising as bareback escorts ...
Any advice you can give to someone looking to start out in the porn biz?
My advice would be to weigh your options. Do you really need the money or do you really want to be known as a sex object. If it's for the money, hopefully the money is for college, because it won't last. If it's for sexual freedom, fun and the experience, apply on dominicpacifico.com, maybe I''ll give you a nice shot at it.
Three things that would surprise fans to know about you?
As my first job out of high school I was a master potter. I made raku pottery in Key West for two years. I was also married a woman when I was 18. later I married Christian Owen, in 2009. I'm divorced now.
What can fans expect for the rest of 2012?
From 2012-2013 you can expect more sexy scene's on
dominicpacifico.com. You can expect a new updated look on the website and a clean, more user friendly interface. I will also be launching a second adult site. The second site will be a very kinky fetish site with hot young guys getting into extreme bondage. I will be starting a new international tour from North America down to south America, then Europe. I will also be DJing and doing live appearances at clubs, bars, and massive events!
