Last year, former porn star Ryan Idol was convicted of attempted murder after slamming a toilet tank lid over his girlfriend's head.
This year, Chi Chi LaRue's C1R included a scene from one of Idol's movies in a sensational DVD compilation on the theme of models that have serious criminal records. The movie, Criminal Cocks, includes men who have been found guilty of such wonderful things as grand theft, serial rape, and 1st degree murder.
Well, word got to Idol - currently serving time at Sacramento Municipal Jail - that the scene from 1993's Idol Thoughts was being used without his permission. He is claiming, through his agent David Forest, that the scene is being used without his consent.
In his weekly email blast, Forest wrote that Idol has a contract that gives the former gay porn superstar control over his work. "The contract clearly forbids the use of any of his material for any other film, even by a producer that purchases the footage (C1R bought Catalina Video in 2007)," Forest claimed. "As we agreed, this matter will have to wait until he’s done with the attempted murder case."
Idol has a court date later this month; now on his fourth lawyer, he's hoping the judge will grant him a new trial in the attempted murder case. Then on to the all-important task of claiming his fair share of Criminal Cocks.
