Marc Dylan: Favorite Newcomer twice over!

The most casual porn surfer over the past year will have run across the beautifully muscled Marc Dylan getting fucked every which way. He's made a big splash, winning both the TLA Gay Video Award and Chicago's Grabby for Newcomer of the Year (shared with Andrew Jakk). We caught up with him a few days ago. 

BG: Congratulations, Marc. How did you feel about winning the Grabby for Best Newcomer, on top of the TLA Award for Favorite Newcomer a few weeks earlier? 

Marc: Thank you for the congratulations. I was on my way to Maui when I found out I won. It was a nice thing to hear, although I dont take that kind of stuff too seriously. There were lots of hot guys who are great performers who could have just as easily won. My real award has been all the fun I've had and friends I have made during this past year. That being said it is a very nice feeling to be appreciated enough to win the new comer award.

Are you having a good time in Maui?

I am having an awesome time. Staying at a wonderful resort right on the beach. Beautiful scenery and great food, I couldn't ask for a better vacation.

There was quite a slew of Grabby newcomer nominees (yourself, Dario Beck, Morgan Black, Jessie Colter, Christopher Daniels, Trenton Ducati, Andrew Jakk, Cliff Jensen, Heath Jordan, Cavin Knight, Hunter Marx, Shay Michaels, Anthony Romero, Bryce Star, Johnny Torque & the Rosso Twins). Have you appeared in scenes with any of the other nominees?

Yes, there were lots of newcomers in the running. I have worked with Trenton Ducati, Cavin Knight, and Christopher Daniels. All three were amazing to work with and really great guys.

You have worked as a free agent so far. Do you enjoy working with different studios or would you like to become an exclusive at some point?

I have had the opportunity to become exclusive with almost every studio I have worked with, and even had a few offers from some I didn't work with. I enjoy being able to work with different studios and have made friends with people at all of them, Michael Lucas, Adam Robinson at Falcon, Kristofer Weston at Colt. It's just awesome to have the luxury of working with so many good people in this industry.

You are an out gay man; do you have a preference for working with gay or gay-for-pay performers?

I am gay, but I can work with straight guys. I don't think there is anything wrong with gay for pay if the person is respectful of the gay performers they work with and is actually willing to have gay sex. Now a gay for pay performer who doesn't want to have gay sex should probably go work in straight porn since I find it disrespectful to the gay performers for a straight guy to be on a gay porn set and think he should just lay back and do nothing but be admired. I think there are quite a few straight guys that do gay-for-pay who are super hot and create some great scenes, some of them I have been fans of for a long time.

Are you single, or seeing someone? 

I am single.

You have an excellent, content-filled blog (marcdylanblog.com) and a great Twitter presence. Do you think these things are essential to having a successful porn career? 

Love working on my blog. Soon I will be doing live shows and at some point filming my own content. Twitter is also an addiction for me. I love interacting with people and making new friends so that is another outlet to do so. Both are enjoyable to me that's why I do them, not because I think they are essential to having a good porn career, they are just fun. In an industry like this I think it helps to be a social person but only if it's genuine. Most of my tweets are about food or traveling and actual conversations with people, and a little bit about porn. There are also some non-porn blog posts on my website which lots of people tell me they enjoy. I think twitter, facebook, blogs, and all that kind of stuff are great for expressing myself as a person ... not so much for promoting my "porn career".

What upcoming unreleased scenes can your fans look forward to?

I have a couple scenes for Falcon that are not released yet, but that's it.
