Couple forced to make porn in new Indie film

BufferingAn interesting film will be making its way through the queer film festival circuit this summer. Buffering follows a gay couple as they explore online porn as a way to deal with some financial problems.

Darren Flaxstone and Christian Martin wrote and directed the movie. It focuses on Aaron and Seb, a couple who have maxed out their credit cards after losing their jobs. To save their home, Aaron secretly shares video of his sexual exploits with Seb online for profit. And when Seb finds out, things get real messy real quick.

"With each pass of the script Christian felt compelled to try and steer it back to a more dramatic film exploring the darker side of this sad and necessary-for-some reality," Flaxstone explained. "It’s a new form of prostitution of sorts — digital virtual pornography — with the added nightmare scenario that these digital uploads stay on the net for years and years."

But the film is not a complete downer. "The whole world economic crisis was hitting everyone and that in-of-itself is a very serious subject, but we wanted to go more humorous with the subject," Flaxstone added. "In the end, we think we’ve ended up with somewhere in between — a dramedy of sorts."
