Manhunt booted from Facebook

Apparently, Manhunt is not welcome on Facebook. The hook-up site revealed yesterday that it was kicked off Facebook three weeks ago, and attempts to get the fanpage reinstated have fallen on deaf ears.

"None of the admins on our page received any sort of warning or message explaining why, how long it would be down for, etc.," Manhunt's J Harvey said. "It was just gone, and it still is."

Initially, Facebook responded to questions from the company, but now is ignoring e-mail requests for help or clarification.

"If this was just a paltry amount of fans, we could just start over," Harvey said. "But we have/had 174,000-plus 'likes' on our Facebook page. We worked very hard on making it a page our readers wanted to check out every day, and the numbers reflected that."

Harvey is now calling on fans of his site to write a "polite request" to Facebook to have the site put back up.

"We are willing to bow and scrape before the mighty FB gods to get our page back. We miss it, and we think our members do too," Harvey said.

We can certainly understand the frustration, having a similar experience with Google+. You can still check out (and like!) our Facebook page, though... while it's still up!
