Cross-dressing sitcom planned for ABC

ABC has several new sitcoms ready for the upcoming fall TV season, but one of them is already getting people talking.

Work It is an obvious knock-off of the short-lived 80s sitcom Bosom Buddies starring Tom Hanks. Critics who have seen it have not been impressed, but ABC president Paul Lee doesn't care.

"Sometimes you pick up a pilot just because it absolutely makes you cackle with laughter, and that was the case with Work It," he said. "I make absolutely no excuses for that show. We didn't think this room would like it, and I don't think we have a problem with that."
