George Michael alters his voice for new single

Here is the official video for George Michael's newest single, "True Faith," in support of Comic Relief 2011.

You'll be forgiven for thinking he's relying on auto-tune. We did. But no, he's using a vocoder.

As one die-hard fan explained: "We ALL know George can sing ~ you certainly can hear his gorgeous voice through the vocoder ... The words to True Faith ... the video ... and, the use of a vocoder gives the effect of the mind that is altered by drugs - all of the senses being distorted."

Yeah, what he said.
