Finally, a play about porn

The Lambda Players have put together a little show near and dear to all our hearts. It's called 'The Poughkeepsie Porn Co." and it promises full nudity!

The premise: "One of the oldest gay porn companies is about to become a thing of the past unless it can find a way to put the company back on track. Enter the newly hired weapon: a 6', blond, blue-eyed wall of muscle from Norway named Tor. The company improves while doing a series of educational porn based on gay historical characters. With a cast of erotic and oddball characters, the company battles its way through rival porn-spies, community protests and the musical theater guild"

Reviewer Kel Munger described the play this way: "The plot is, in fact, as tissue-thin as any sex farce, which means it’s much more complicated than most porn. There are plenty of cheap laughs and a number of particularly witty one-liners."

Of course, full on real sex acts are not part of the performance.

Sadly you have to be in the Sacramento area to catch the play - running August 27th through September 25th - but we're hoping other small theaters pick it up and share it with the rest of us!
