Soccer player blackmails teammate with sex tape

In the age of cell phone cameras and YouTube, you just never know when someone might be filming your crazy antics. And if you're a player on the Manchester City soccer team you really need to be careful who's filming you during sex.

Ashley Timms, 22, demanded over $30,000 after taping his teammate in bed with a 19-year-old female friend, threatening that the images would end up online if payment was not made.

"I have got loads of pictures and the video of you. If you want them, make me an offer," he told the man known only as Witness A via text message. "I have been thinking. Why don't you buy them off me and then you can destroy them to be safe?"

Though police could not find the actual video on Timms hard drive, they did discover a Google search on "How to sell sex videos."

Judge Andrew Gilbart said: "Blackmail always calls for a custodial sentence. ... What Witness A did was entirely consensual and entirely lawful and he had every right to expect and insist that it should not be broadcast to the wider public."

Timms was given 20 months in jail.

We think he was just being lazy; he could have made some decent money filming himself  in the act.
