RuPaul hosts new reality TV show

RuPaul get's her own reality show contest on MTV's LogoWe all knew it was only a matter of time before drag queens got their own reality show. MTV Networks' Logo, the channel for all things LGBT, has given the go ahead for a reality competition series starring the inimitable drag diva RuPaul.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" (that's as creative as they  could get?) will feature contestants vying for the title of "America's next superstar drag queen," with RuPaul serving as host, mentor and judge. One contestant will be picked by an online vote at www.RuPaulsDragRace.com.

"Tell Tyra that the Queen has returned," announced RuPaul. "and while you're at it have Heidi clear the runway. I'm going to pump some 'realness' into reality. To be a winner on this show the contestants need to be a fashion designer, an American Idol, and a top model all rolled up into one. And they definitely have to be smarter than a fifth grader."

So get your wigs and fake boobs out of the closet, girls; it's show time!
