Singapore OKs gay couple

Jason and deMarcoRecently we profiled uber-cute couple, Jason and deMarco. Openly gay, and proudly Christian, the two have won fans from both queer and religious groups the world over. Seems their sweet as sin smiles have even opened doors into traditionally homophobic territory: approval, albeit conditional, has been given for them to perform at a concert to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS in Singapore. That's pretty impressive considering gay sex is still illegal in that country.

"In 2005, a similar concert featuring the pop duo was disallowed because the concert was open to general members of the public," said a government official in a statement. "The organizer has also assured (the government) that the aim of the concert is AIDS education and HIV prevention." Displays of homosexuality will not be tolerated.

So no groping onstage, boys. Though fans will settle for some backstage footage, if you know what we mean.
