Two arrested in Cobra murder

From twink to porn star to murder suspect, Harlow R. Cuadra, 25, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Brian Kocis, owner of bareback studio Cobra Video. Cuadra and his business partner Joseph Kerekes, 33, were apprehended in Virginia Beach, Va. on Tuesday morning.

Kocis, 44, was found in January when firefighters responded to a blaze at his Dallas Township home. His throat had been slashed and he had been stabbed 28 times according to the medical examiner. The fire was set to cover the murder.

Both the Times-Tribune in Sacramento, and the Virginian-Pilot are reporting the motive for the killing was money and a growing rivalry between Cobra Video and Cuadra`s BoyBatter.com. One of the items of contention was Cuadra's interest in working with Sean Lockhart, aka Brent Corrigan, (pictured with Cuadra, below) a model who had previously been exclusive to Cobra.

Corrigan has had his own issues in the past with Kocis and Cobra. In 2005, Corrigan made the claim that he falsified his ID to make his Cobra films, being under-age when these were shot. This led to an ongoing legal dispute between Corrigan and Kocis, though sources say they had come to an informal resolution weeks before Kocis's death.

Corrigan is not currently under investigation for the homicide. He has also worked with the police, taking part in electronic surveillance of Cuadra. According to reports, the police were able to catch Cuadra saying: “It was quick; (Kocis) never saw it coming. ... It almost seems like I got revenge.”

Cuadra and Kerekes face charges of homicide, robbery, arson, theft, tampering with evidence, and conspiracy. The two men may also be charged under Virginia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, for laundering money and making money from the earnings of prostitutes.
