Straight men into gay sex

It's every gay man's fantasy to convert -- or at least fuck -- a hot straight boy. Well, says a new study, it turns out many so-called "straight" men actually are having homo-sex. But the news isn't all fab: a good number are foregoing HIV tests and many are not using condoms.

Titled "Discordance Between Sexual Behavior and Self-reported Sexual Identity: A Population-based Survey of New York City Men," the study of more than 4,000 men in New York City was conducted by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and found that nearly 10% of men who identify as straight are having sex with other men.

More than 70% of those men are married, reports Gay.com, and the group as a whole is more likely than other participants to belong to a racial or ethnic minority, be foreign-born, have a lower educational level and live outside of Manhattan.

"Doctors need to ask patients about specific sexual practices instead of relying on self-reported sexual orientation to assess risk for unsafe sexual practices and risk for sexually transmitted diseases," said Preeti Pathela, lead author of the study. "Public health prevention messages should target risky sexual activities, such as unprotected receptive anal sex, and should not be framed to appeal solely to gay-identified men."

Of course, the findings out of New York are no surprise to porn afficionados, given the number of "straight" men who perform in gay porn. It's called "gay for pay" -- and they ain't foolin' no one!
