Cybersocket merges into Fleshbot Gay

Fleshbot and CybersocketAfter 25 years covering the gay porn industry, Cybersocket -- as we know it -- is no more. The popular site has been absorbed into the Fleshbot family, and is now being branded as Fleshbot Gay (powered by Cybersocket).

Cybersocket was founded in Los Angeles in January 1997, by Tim Lutz and Morgan Sommer. Beginning life as a free print magazine and website, Cybersocket also published an annual gay web directory, created the popular Cybersocket Web Awards, and was the major gay sponsor at porn conferences such as InterNEXT and The Phoenix Forum. The company's resources were essential for any gay website or studio looking to increase its exposure.

When Tim was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2020 it was time to make some changes. In mid-2021, the print magazine ceased publication and the company was sold to NSFW Army. Tim passes away in August of 2021.

NSFW Army, owned by hetero-focused BLT Innovations LLC (whose flagship site is CherryPimps.com), also purchased Fleshbot that same year.

The decision to combine the two sites makes sense from a business point of view. Fleshbot, which promotes all types of porn content, boasts upwards of a million visitors per month. Cybersocket has great name recognition and knows the gay porn world well.

In fact, the current Cybersocket team will still work for Fleshbot Gay, including porn star bloggers Adam Russo, Jack Andy, and AJ Sloan. Cybersocket’s podcasts Bear with Us Gurrrl, Out of the Kennel and Unzipped by Cybersocket will continue, with new ones from Cole Connor and Adam Ramzi planned for later this year.

“I am more than thrilled at this coming together of these two major platforms," explained Cybersocket Director Alexander. "I am excited for the Fleshbot audience to see the hard work and great content we have cultivated on Cybersocket.com. Cybersocket and Fleshbot Gay legacies coming together just make sense. The sky’s the limit as we truly become the ultimate resource where pop culture and gay erotica come together.”

We wish them all the best in their endeavors.
