Battle of the best buds: Andy Cohen versus Anderson Cooper

Good friends Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper have announced a major gig together: they will be hosting CNN's New Year's Eve special this year.

Cooper used to host the show with comedian Kathy Griffin. However, earlier this year Griffin got into a lot of trouble after posting a video in which she held up the bloodied head of Donald Trump. Cooper called her out, saying the image was "disgusting" and "inappropriate."

CNN later announced that Griffin would not be returning for this year's New Year's Eve special.

The guys have been friends for many years. They are both gay. They both host their own TV shows (Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper 360). They're both silver foxes.
