The deliciously dark side of drag

Dragula

Move over RuPaul's Drag Race, there's a new drag queen show in town! It's called Dragula, and it's an online competition seeking the world's first drag supermonster!

The series airs every other Monday on YouTube channel Hey Qween TV. It's a mix of camp, costume and creepiness. Think of it as Drag Race with a heavy helping of Fear Factor.

The concept was created by the ever creative Boulet Brothers (pictured), an LA-base drag duo known for developing unique queer / alternative events. Dragula is one of them, and now it's going online so the rest of the world can partake.

These shows are not for the faint of heart. According to the producers: "Alliances will be formed, throats will be slashed and viewers will be introduced to a reality web competition unlike the world has ever seen."

Money seems tight, so Dragula is also looking for help from fans to raise the $10,000 grand prize. (They've even started an IndieGoGo campaign!)
