Third and fourth porn models test HIV+

The adult industry is in disarray after models three and four were reported to have recently turned HIV+. While the identiies of the first two, straight female performer Cameron Bay and her boyfriend, gay-for-pay performer Rod Daily are known, no details about the third or fourth have yet been released.  In the case of Daily, who recently left the industry, it is believed that he did not contract HIV on set, but more likely from Cameron.

The Free Speech Coalition, the adult industry trade association, operates an STD testing service, recently rebranded as Performer Availability Screening Services (PASS).  On Friday, Sept. 6, PASS posted a notice on its website inducating that an industry moratorium on filming new scenes was in effect. "All first generation partners of the recently identified HIV positive performer have been notified and retests are being conducted," the notice reads.

PASS had previously called a moratorium on August 21 after Cameron Bay revealed that she had contracted HIV. That  moratorium ended on August 27. When Rod Daily revealed on Sept. 3 via Twitter  that he had contracted HIV, PASS did not call for a moratorium, partly because Daily had used his own doctor, so PASS had no medical records to verfiy. The fourth report came in on Tuesday, Sept. 9, after the moratorium had gone into effect.

Most gay studios are not a part of the PASS screening service, so how this news will affect filming at gay studios is unknown.
