Naughty party invite gets frat boys suspended

Boys will be boys ... and frat boys will be frat boys.

The Pi Kappa Alphas have suspended their University of Michigan's Beta Tau chapter last week. At issue: an invitation sent by the young men to a sorority inviting the girls for come over for a little party. The invite included pics of the half-naked guys draped in the American flag, along with some lines about drinking, being American and having fun.

The stuffed shirts at the Pi Kappa Alphas called the invitation "offensive and inappropriate."

"The Supreme Council of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity has placed the Beta Tau Chapter …on interim suspension, effective immediately, due to members displaying inappropriate and offensive photos as well as making claims which are in violation of Fraternity Standards," said Just A. Buck, executive vice president of the fraternity. (Um, is his name real or are we being punked?)

The invitation included such classic lines as, "What is America? America is a place where drinking until you puke means drinking until you win," and "if ... you count yourself a red-blooded, God-fearing American girl who has a specific spring-time gym routine to accommodate her summer-time jean shorts, come to Pike."

Yes, these guys are a little too hetero and a tad misogynistic, but they sound like they just want to have fun. Still, we think our sorority sisters might want to make their own drinks ...
