Two big names on the Next Door Studios' roster are no longer working for the company, reportedly for refusing to do scenes with gay-for-pay models.
Exclusive model Austin Wilde recently told The Sword that "[Next Door President] Stephan blatantly threatened me on the phone today and then fired me for not wanting to shoot an orgy," adding, "Clearly he’s not used to people still having some integrity in life and standing up for themselves."
The Sword quoted a source who said that Wilde was let go because he had an issue with gay-for-pay actors being part of the scene.
The following day, Wilde's boyfriend, Anthony Romero, followed him out the door. Romero even detailed his misgivings about the studio on his blog.
For example, Romero wrote that "once, when I brought up that I didn’t want to be in a scene with one of those guys (the gay for pay ones who don’t perform) ... I was basically told to stop being dramatic and to shut up and do my scene, or I would be dropped from the shoot."
Next Door has so far not offered any comment on the departures. Like the Mason Wyler and Tommy D. sites, we expect that AustinWilde.com will remain online, but without updates.
