Sting's 'marathon sex' myth debunked

Sting may not be the man you always thought him to be.

The legendary pop singer, first a front man with the Police and later a solo artist, had become infamous the world over after claims of his marathon tantric sex sessions - lasting up to eight hours - made headlines.

But now it seems the story of Sting’s staying (hard) power were nothing more than a joke by close friend Sir Bob Geldof.

Sting’s daughter Coco Sumner made the confession in a recent interview. "Bob Geldof made up this thing and it stuck and it’s an international joke," she said. "It is a bit embarrassing when people bring it up. I don’t really have anything to do with my parents’ sex life. They love each other. So what?"

We're not too surprised that it was all just a big story. We tend to give up in the first hour ...
