Dame Edna's creator attacks the trans community

Barry Humphries' creation Dame Edna Everage has always had a huge gay following.

Sadly, he may have lost many of those fans after saying that trans women are "mutilated men."

The Australian comedian was defending similar comments made by writer Germaine Greer. A few months ago she argued that "just because you lop off your cock and then wear a dress, doesn’t make you a fucking woman."

"I agree with Germaine. You’re a mutilated man, that’s all," he said during an interview with The Telegraph.

He added that Caitlyn Jenner "self-mutilated" herself and is a "publicity-seeking ratbag."

"It’s all given the stamp – not of respectability, but authenticity or something. If you criticise anything you’re racist or sexist or homophobic," he said.

We know that Dame Edna's son Kenny would never approve!
