If you have a six-inch cock, you can now tell men on Grindr that you are above average! A new study has found that the average penis size is smaller than we all thought.
Researchers combined seventeen different studies, with information about more than 15,500 men, and found that the average length of an erect penis is 5.16 inches, and 3.6 inches when flaccid. This undermines claims that a 6-inch penis is the norm.
The work was completed by scientists at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King’s College London and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM). The research exposed penis lengths as small as 1.9 inches when erect up to 8.3 inches. Obviously there were no porn stars in this study.
Psychiatrists who were involved in the study said this might help men who suffer from “small penis anxiety.”
“We believe these graphs will help doctors reassure the large majority of men that the size of their penis is in the normal range," Dr David Veale of King’s College London said. “We will also use the graphs to examine the discrepancy between what a man believes to be their position on the graph and their actual position or what they think they should be.”
Last year, another study found that one in five men is unsatisfied with the size of their penis.
Veale added: "It is a hidden problem. Men are more likely to seek solutions on the internet with lotions potions, extenders or surgery."
