Neil Patrick Harris pulls off a mean Hedwig

Here you go: the first official pic of Neil Patrick Harris as Hedwig (from the upcoming Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch).

“I’ve lost 20 pounds," said Harris. "I’m in the craziest couture outfits, and I’ve got all this makeup on. But they made me custom heels, so at least those fit well.” 

LGBT youth organization Hetrick-Martin Institute will receive a portion of the show's proceeds to help fund the Harvey Milk School for at-risk youth. 

The show opens April 22.
