Marc Moskowitz is claiming that while visiting a Manhattan gym, he slipped on a "foreign white substance" on the steam room floor and fractured a shoulder.
He added that the Bally Total Fitness gym on E. 55th St. is known for its "cruising and lewd behavior" which is "commonplace at the steam room, sauna and locker rooms."
"As a result of the aforementioned activities, there was bodily fluids and other evidence of sexual activity wherever it occurred throughout the gym," Moskowitz claimed in his lawsuit. Managers, he said, were familiar with the activities, going so far as to leave a hose and soap in the steam room for people needing to clean up after sex.
He also pointed out that gay cruising "is prevalent at Bally's across the country." (Note to self: get Bally's membership.)
Damages in the lawsuit have not been specified, and Moskowitz is refusing to talk to reporters.
"I'd say it's not that dark down there," suggested gym manager Kyrell Buckhead. "It's a wet and slippery kind of place." He said he had no idea men were hooking up in his gym.
The Cruising Gays website lists this gym as a good place for cock: "There are 2 LIGHTS in the Steam Sauna. The rear light is out 1/2 the time. When it is OFF the party is ON."
