Back in the late 80s and early 90s, gay boys everywhere had lots of young men to fantasize about, with teen comedies and dramas appearing on all the channels. And it's good to know that some of the same guys who made our hearts skip a beat when we were younger, still have it a few decades later.
James van der Beek made a splash when he appeared as the lead in Dawson's Creek, a teen drama that came out in the late 90s. He appeared in several movies with varying degrees of success, but has recently returned to TV to star as a version of himself in Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23.
Mario Lopez owes his career, in part, to one of the worst written shows ever made, the Saturday morning teen comedy Saved By the Bell. Luckily he has gone on to better things, such as hosting syndicated entertainment show Extra, hosting MTV's America's Best Dance Crew, and starting in November, co-hosting the US version of the singing competition The X Factor.
And of course we couldn't forget our own (as in gay) Neil Patrick Harris. In the late 80s he started his career in Doogie Howser, M.D., as a teenaged doctor. He is now starring as a straight womanizer in How I Met Your Mother.
