Contrary to earlier reports, singer George Michael is "getting better by the hour," said his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz.
Michael was rushed to hospital at the beginning of the last week while on tour in Austria. Reports indicated that the singer had a severe case of pneumonia.
On Saturday, word spread that the singer was getting worse and had been sent to intensive care. Rumors included that he was in an induced coma because of a severe lung condition.
Fawaz suggested the star's health problems had been greatly exaggerated. "George is doing well and is in good spirits," he said. "I have been seeing him each day and I can see he is getting stronger all the time. George is trying to stay upbeat.
"A lot of what has been reported about George's condition isn't true. His condition is getting better. It is bullshit some of the things which are being said."
Michael has canceled the remaining concert dates of his European tour. We wish him a quick recovery.
