The Fonz has our backs!

The FonzThe Fonz, the too-cool-for-school character from the Happy Days, would have no problems with gay people according to Henry Winkler.

Winkler, who played Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli from 1974 to 1984, spoke out about several gay issues during an interview on Sirius XM's LGBT-themed radio program The Six Pack

When asked how the Fonz would feel about gay people, Winkler said: "I think he feels the same way I do. I don't think about a person as gay, I think about them as a human being."

Of course, fans of the show wouldn't be surprised. The Fonz was very active politically, fighting against racial segregation and pushing for equal rights for people with disabilities.

Winkler also shared his own feelings about Marcus Bachmann's gay reparative clinic. "Marcus Bachmann is trying to refurbish [gays] like sofas!" he said. Too true.

As for gay fans: "I have wonderful gay fans. Wonderful straight fans. And some very confused fans!"
