70 Maverick Men Review [visit now]

The Maverick Men are Cole and Hunter, a real-life couple who travel the country to meet up with a variety of willing sex partners -- from super-masculine looking men to "cherry pop" twinks -- and record their hot threesomes on video.

Although this is a unique and entertaining site, there are some frustrations. First, there are streams only, no downloads, and even the "HD" quality stream doesn't look HD. Second, there are two membership types, one is monthly and one is to buy minutes. In either case the cost of viewing content is above average for video quality, composition, and editing that is good but not great. Finally, they've been adding new content at just once a month. That said, what you are really paying for here is the amateur experience.

Tour

The Maverick Men tour starts you out in their trailers blog, which is updated frequently and covers their various adventures, including explicit clips and detailed text descriptions for every video. Some of the preview clips are up to five minutes long, and as far as we can tell you can watch as many of them as you like. To get to the join page, click "Watch Full Movies" in the top menu bar.

Usability

The site's design and content display are fairly simple, though the preview clips do not have links to their corresponding full-length videos and the index of full-length videos often does not have a proper face shot of the guys in the vids. If you're looking for the image galleries, they are accessed by clicking thumbnails in the preview clips area or on the individual full-length video page. Sadly, images are of low quality.

One thing different about Maverick Men is that you can either pay-per-minute or get a much better deal with a monthly membership. If you have bought time then there are a couple of efficiencies provided to make sure you don't waste precious minutes. First the "trailers" section can be viewed without taking any time off the clock; second, for all the videos there are a dozen thumbnail images that will jump you to a specific place in the video.

If you want to search using a search term, you can find a basic search bar on the "Home" page, but this will find blog entries in the site's blog pages only.

The menu item "MM Directs" leads to a separate site that is not included in your membership.

The Men and the Action

First the main characters: Cole is middle-aged, with silver in his hair and not exactly a gym body; he has a great dick and he knows how to use it. Hunter is handsome, dark and very fit. They are both "alpha male tops" and love to tag team their guests. The "guests" are varied but tend to be younger, good looking and always enthusiastic about the sex. Sometimes fantasies will be played out, like picking up a muscle stud at the gym, but mostly it's straight-up hookup scenarios.

Aside from the hot sex what makes this site compelling is that Cole and Hunter put everything they've got into it and make it their own. The video descriptions are not just about selling the site but are actually very entertaining, and the camera is held by the guys which makes the encounters seem all the more "real."

Video Details

The playback quality of the videos is fair to good. The default speed of the embedded video player is fast enough to be a reasonable viewing experience for the viewer, but we're surprised that the "HD" speed is not more clear. The videography style is meant to be amateur, with the camera constantly on the move, capturing the good stuff, but this is not always satisfying as the camera often moves in a jerky and disorienting way.

There are 271 videos on the site but the updates are inconsistent, from every few weeks to a month apart. They average 30 to 60 minutes in length. The video streams only.

Image and Other Content

The only images are a set of six for each video, in the preview clips section of the site. These are good quality screen captures.

Summing Up

Maverick Men does a bang-up job portraying the real life sexual shenanigans of Cole and Hunter. Though the camera approach and quality is definitely amateur, this site scores well for its unique approach, sexy models, and engagement with members and fans.
