Helping gays save

From Groupon to LivingSocial, deal-of-the-day websites are becoming increasingly popular. You can get discounted dinners, purchase boutique apparel at warehouse prices, and save over 80% on laser hair removal. The deals are endless.

And now there's a similar service dedicated to the gay community. Gaypon was created to give subscribers daily offers from local and regional gay-friendly businesses.

"Gaypon gives you the opportunity to receive awesome discounts on everything from dining, nightlife and entertainment to the latest gadgets, fashion and fitness," said Gaypon Founder & CEO, Robert Graham.  "You don't have to be part of the LGBT community to participate with Gaypon.  Our online community is a place where individuals who believe in equal and fair employment practices can find great deals and support businesses that share the same philosophy."

Even better, Gaypon has promised a portion of its proceeds will be given to LGBT organizations and charities, including The Trevor Project, which focuses on crisis and suicide prevention amongst LGBTQ youth, and Affirmations, which is one of the largest LGBT community centers in the United States.

Gaypon is currently only available to customers in the US, but there are plans to expand.

"Yes, we are looking in to going into Canada," Robert told BananaGuide. He added that there was already interest from outside North America, too "Today alone we have had a bunch of sign-ups from Brazil and Australia."

You can check out Gaypon here.
