Rufus Wainwright a papa

Singer Rufus Wainwright is a father.

He and his partner Jorn Weisbrodt announced on Friday the arrival of Viva Katherine Wainwright Cohen. The mother, Lorca Cohen, is daughter of the famed Canadian musician Leonard. Talk about quality genes.

Wainwright released the following statement: "Daddy #1 would like to offer everyone a digital cigar and welcome the little lady in with a French phrase from his favorite folk song, A La Claire Fontaine : 'Il y a longtemps que je t'aime, jamais je ne t'oublierai.'"

We think that means something about how great poutine is with a mug of beer. It's much more poetic in french.
