Bad news for FlavaWorks

Cocodorm modelMiami-based FlavaWorks, the company behind the popular all-black reality site CocoDorm.com, was in violation of city zoning ordinances last year, according to a federal appeals court. FlavaWorks had argued that the home where the tapings took place, though in a residential area, did not violate city bylaws because the company's actual business office was located elsewhere.

The 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, however, found that actual product was created at the house - in the form of video images - making the home a commercial location and ill-suited for the neighborhood.

CocoDorm models are hired as independent contractors, and receive around $1,200 per month plus free room and board. Sexual activity is, of course, expected.

It will be interesting to see how this affects more amateur efforts; it seems every Tom's hairy dick has its own website these days!
