Swedish soccer player and underwear model Freddie Ljungberg is repeatedly being asked about his sexuality.
He used to answer the question directly: "I am not gay. If I was I would just say I was and it wouldn’t bother me.” However, in a recent interview with the 'New York Times,' he seemed a little more coy on the subject.
"There’s been a gay rumor for a long time," he said. "I don’t mind at all. I am proud of that. I love fashion, and I think so many gay people have amazing style. So that is a compliment to me. I really don’t know why people are so interested. I just made a decision that I won’t talk about it."
With so many soccer players comfortable showing off in their underwear, maybe it's time to institute a tighty-whities only clause for all professional soccer matches.
