A straight man is suing Craigslist after his co-workers posted an ad - complete with his phone number - claiming he was looking for some gay love. He also named his employer, Foster Farms, in the lawsuit.
The ad said he was "seeking a hot stud for first timer... recently divorced from my wife, have come to terms with my homo sexuality [sic], and need someone to teach me the right way, and be gentle at the same time, age, race not important..." The co-workers were able to work around Craigslist's software, which blocks phone numbers from being posted.
The plaintiff and his family were then subjected to a steady stream of phone calls of a very graphic nature. He claims that when he complained to his bosses about the harassment, they did nothing. Craigslist, as far as he is concerned, is fully responsible for the fake ad's content.
He would sue his co-workers but they don't have enough money to make it worth the effort.
