Corbin Fisher hooks pirates

Corbin Fisher sues video pirates selling DVDs through eBayCorbin Fisher has filed a lawsuit against some very ballsy pirates. The suit alleges two men burned copies of  Corbin Fisher videos to DVDs and then sold them through eBay. They even advised potential customers to check out the CorbinFisher.com tour to preview the content they would be receiving.

"We got a tip about our content being sold on eBay and engaged in some good old-fashioned detective work to track down the culprits," Marc Randazza, Corbin Fisher’s general counsel, said. "Once we had enough evidence on them, we filed our lawsuit. "We've heard from one defendant already, who seemed pretty distraught."

The suit seeks $10 million in damages from each of the primary defendants.

Not only is the website targeting the alleged perpetrators of the crime, David Trice of Dallas and Eric Brown of Pittsburgh, but it also names John Doe defendants who may have purchased the videos.

"This is old school counterfeit DVD production," Brian Dunlap, COO of Corbin Fisher, said. "We are going after each and every person who even bought a DVD from one of these guys. We are certain that as the case goes on, we will identify each and every one of them."

Just goes to show, if something seems like too good a deal, it's probably illegal.
