Buffy boy comes out

Tom Lenk, who played Andrew on the cult hit "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer", has officially come out.

Not that he was ever really in the closet. "Tom has a bit of a fey thing going on in his persona that, you know, you can't really deny," Buffy creator Joss Whedon admitted. In fact, Lenk's gay ways influenced Whedon to change the character of Adam into a homosexual (albeit a closeted one).

Lenk had hoped to come out at the same time as his same sex kiss on Fox's "Do Not Disturb." However the show never made it past a second episode before it was dropped from Fox's 2008 fall schedule.

Hopefully we will see more of Lenk.  Hey, maybe he'll even prove to be talented enough to convincingly play a straight man.
