Milk enema vids target of obscenity charges

The owner of Evil Angel, John Stagliano, was arraigned yesterday after being charged with multiple obscenity violations for selling and distributing via mail and the Web videos that feature female ejaculation and milk enemas.

The indictment was initially handed down on April 8 in Washington, D.C. naming Stagliano and his two companies, Evil Angel Productions and John Stagliano Inc., as defendants. The videos listed in the charges include "Jay Sin's Milk Nymphos," "Joey Silvera's Storm Squirters 2" and a trailer for "Belladonna's Fetish Fanatic 5."

Stagliano was released on his own recognizance pending the trial, which will likely take place in 2009.

"John will need to phone in once a week during pretrial, basically just letting (the court) know that he's still in the country," Evil Angel publicist Karen Stagliano told AVN. "If he does need to leave the country, he needs to notify the court beforehand - they did not take his passport."

After being charged Stagliano told AVN that "I don't sell obscenity according to how the law is defined, and I am sure in the end there will be a positive resolution to this." [more]

Karen Stagliano says they are all surprised by the charges. "These movies in particular - everything we make, but especially these movies - it's showing girls having fun doing things that maybe you don't always do in your normal bedroom, but that's kind of the point of porn," she said. "Squirting, and I'm not sure about milk enemas, but squirting has been defended before. They obviously didn't try to pick the hardest thing that they possibly could have picked against the hardest company they were trying to pick."

A conviction could mean up to five years in prison for each of the obscenity counts while the companies could be fined $500,000 per count.

And we thought milk was good for you ...
