Third strike against .xxx domain

.xxx not permitted by ICANNICM Registry just can't take no for an answer.

The company once again filed a request with ICANN, the agency that regulates web addresses, to create a new domain ending with .xxx for online providers of adult content. This would force porn companies to give up their current .com domain names. The aim is to improve a government's ability to regulate content while decreasing the chances someone will inadvertently land on a pornographic website.

Opponents of .xxx come in both religious and non-religious flavors. Some feel the new domain would legitimize pornography. Members of the porn community see it as a way to push adult erotica into the shadows of cyberspace.

ICANN has said no to .xxx before, and yesterday they rejected the proposal for a third time.

Does ICM Registry have nothing better to do with their time?
