Company sued over porn offer

Family sues Specialty Publications over mailed porn offerA 12-year-old girl's family is suing Specialty Publications -- the publisher of a series of gay adult magazines, including "Freshmen" and "Unzipped Monthly" -- after the Knoxville, Tennessee preteen opened a letter from the company addressed to her father. The envelope promised a free DVD inside; she found Titan Media’s "Farm Fresh" and a series of naughty pictures.

"Mary Doe, being a curious child and thinking the free DVD offer was for a Disney movie, opened the envelope at which time she was horribly shocked to see numerous sexually explicit photographs of completely nude males," the lawsuit claims. "There were no warnings on the envelope that the envelope contained sexually oriented advertising."

Papa Kent Blackwelder, a former contestant on the CBS reality game show "Big Brother," says he is not sure why he would even have been sent the package in the first place. He has never purchased anything from Specialty Publications before.

The lawsuit goes on to allege that “(a)s a result of the negligence of Specialty Publications, the (Blackwelders) have sustained great pain of body and mind and emotional stress, including shock, horror, humiliation and embarrassment as well as anxiety.” The family is looking for over $3.5 million in damages. We don't remember the movie being that bad.

Anyway, the lesson here is obvious: little girls should never, ever open daddy's mail. You just never know what you're going to find.
