Bareback porn shoot infects three with HIV

Safer sexIt had to happen sooner or later: Three young British men, 18, 21, and 26, have tested positive for HIV after taking part in a bareback video. A fourth actor, with whom the three had sex, tested positive shortly after the video shoot, and was unaware of his HIV status during filming.

The men relied on a 48-hour DNA screening test to discover their new status. However the test is considered unreliable, as it will often result in a false-positive. A standard anti-body test is still required to confirm infection, but this can only be administered three months following exposure to the virus for an accurate result.
